Afternoon Shadows
I just liked looking at this shadow and the golden light on this head stone. It made me think about time in this place in a new way. Every day the sun crosses the sky casting shadows. At a certain time each day these linear shadows from the fence dance lightly across the stone. This memorial for a person lays here day after day with the shadows passing over, whether anyone visits or not, the shadows are the friend. For as long as that rusty fence and this stone endure. And longer. Even when the tree is gone, the bones are still there, with whatever passes for light at that time passing over them day after day. That's a long time to just lay there, bones or not. Hopefully Heaven is lots more fun.
