  was this photograph with a filter or was it natural colour. but whatever it is, the effect is very nice.

  Thanks for the comment and the question. No filter was used. I tweeked the saturation just a touch in photoshop. The color was produced by the natural effect of the vog that we have on the Big Island of Hawaii. It is caused by the constant eruption of the volcano, Kilauea.
