Laupahoehoe is a place for reflection, a quiet bay nestled along the coast on the Big Island of Hawaii. These outcroppings were witness to a terrible 50 foot Tsunami on April 1st, 1946 which took the lives of 23 students and four teachers. These sentinals remind me of those who perished.
In the story Hilo, Hawai'i.
