as a kid growing up, you remember days that stand out in your mind. weather we are at a ball game with dad or a walk in the park with mom, we love a good story of our youth. in this shot, we see a 8 year old girl, that will remember this moment for the rest of her life.

what comes to my mind when i look at this is not "fairy tales" so much as a new hope, a new vision somewhere out there, somewhere we may or may not live to see, where time moves in and out, life and death go by, the tides come and go and people live. i see this beautiful photograph of this girl with a balloon, like almost between the twilght of childhood and adolescence. your photo is emotional for me.

Great shot and great description! Its true what you say some memories stay with you for live no matter what! This picture reminds me of some of the times I spent on the beach as a child staring out across the ocean and wondering what was on the other side.
