Finally
at last, a decent infrared photo.
after i spent 70 bucks on the filter, only to realize that my camera was NOT capable of the crazy colorful infrared pictures i have seen floating around JPG, and spent months reading tutorials, and begging for tips from fellow JPGers... not to mention how many hours i have spent waiting for the wind to die down and the perfect scene to be stable enough for me to get a good long exposure, plus trying to figure out the perfect settings so that everything came out the right shade of orange....
i have a good set of images.
the scene here is on the bank of the Truckee river by my home, frozen of course.
it's not super well composed or creative, but for shear value of getting a good IR shot, i think i accomplished my goal.
the foaliage is white, the trunks are black, and the snow took on a surprisingly more grey tone than i expected, but i like it.
i will post more when i get time to go take some really GOOD ones.
