January first, 2009 dawned with a gentle rainstorm in Belize, Central America.
The sound of the rain drops breaking against palm fronds, roofs and railings was soothing to hear and fascinating to watch. One simple drop makes one elegant splash - I love the little stress waves at the top of the bowl.
Simple and at the same time complex, the bursting splashes broke way too quickly for the eye to freeze - not so for my 60mm AF Micro Nikkor.
