Macy's in NYC
Nothing defines it more than at Christmas time, how the Stores just took over the gift giving season from the central theme of God giving us the gift of Jesus and Christians giving gifts to each other to remember the Greatest Gift given to us. Odd how they now want to remove Christ from the season but keep the theme for themselves as they see it: "Buy from us!" How they forget that Holiday is really HOLYDAY.

When I was a little girl, we went to see Macy's Christmas display - all automated with music playing - charming and wonderful. Lunch in Child's Restaurant (now gone) for chicken croquettes, then up to Radio City for the Christmas show and the Rockettes, and a swing around Rockefeller Center. It was magic. The best time to be in NYC.
