The greatest story ever un-told!

This was my entry for the pin-up photo exhibit in San Francisco to celebration flickr's birthday last March 2008. But due to poor communication from the flickr Turns 4 group administrator about the photo requirements to get your photo pinned up on the wall for all to see at the big party, my photo was left on the cutting room floor....I'm still pissed about that! The flickr Turns 4 group encouraged others wanting to celebrating flickr's birthday to get together, print and display their photo's locally....they called it "flickr In The Wild". I hunted through a few local flickr groups but found no one willing to display their photos in the wild with me. So in despair I went to my favorite Starbucks coffee house and stuck my photo on the community bulletin board and left quietly with my head hung low like Charlie Brown when he received another rock in his Halloween bag.

I went back to Starbucks a few days later to find that my photo had been removed from the board and most likely tossed in the trash by an employee on clean-up duty at the end of his/her shift....so I thought! Fast-forward to today. While waiting for my drink to be prepared at the same (my favorite) Starbucks, an employee called me back to the register. As I approached she held my "flickr In The Wild" photo up in the air. "I've got something for you" she said. She told me it was pinned to the employee bulletin board in the back of the store under various company memos. "Wow...Thanks!" I said as I took it from her hand with a grin on my face. I gave her a brief explanation about why the photo was left behind....we chuckled.
