There are Zen stories that relate the concept of not mistaking the reflection of the moon on the water for the moon itself. Like mistaking the finger that is pointing for the thing that is being pointed at.
The phrase Ten Thousand things refers to everything that is possible.
This is a photo that combines these concepts, in that every spec of light is a reflection of the moon, but isn't the moon itself.
