This hawk lives in my neighborhood. I usually see it flying around the tree line but I guess it needed a break yesterday and decided to perch on a bush outside my window. I have a 24-70 mm lens so I was right up on this guy and he was just playing along. I love getting shots of things totally unexpected but completely normal. I went back inside to watch it and as time went on it seemed this little guy had gotten a bumm wing. It was sad to watch it attempt to fly as it just wobbled over to the house next door and went behind their bushes. It made me a little sad to think about but I am not one to interfere with the process of natural selection.
