i was so relieved to hear the pilot come on the intercom again and say, “folks, we’re now making our final approach into denver. it is still snowing, there is a light wind, and it is three degrees on the ground.”
i thought to myself, did he just say three degrees?
“and, in case you were wondering, i did just say three degrees,” said the captain.
right.
in case you were wondering: pilots really aren’t afraid to land an airplane on a snow-covered runway. i know because my pilot did just that.
