Jutting out from Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula is Sharm El-Sheikh. Due to the large number of peace conferences that take place here, Sharm El-Sheikh has been called the City of Peace. Although rocked by a terrorist attack in 2005, the Sinai retains its’ calm. From St. Catherine’s monastery (one of the oldest continuously functioning Christian monasteries in the world) to Mt. Sinai (the site of that biblical moment when Moses received the Ten Commandments) the peninsula is home to history and has never lost its’ natural beauty.
