Here at Paine Field in Snohomish County Washington we have the unique situation of housing both the Flying Heritage Collection and the Boeing Everett Plant. Here you see a Polikarpov I-16 Type 24 Rata built in Russia in 1940 taxing to the runway while in the distance a brand new Boeing 777 aircraft eventually bound for Brazil taxis to the end of the runway both preparing for takeoff.

i really like the juxtaposition of the two very different objects. and the heat rising from the runway adds a nice blur to the ground.
