Keeper Of The Pyramids
This gentleman was known as the Chef des Pyramides. He was a self appointed guide who would approach tourists and convince them somehow that they could not visit the pyramids without hiring him as a guide. I got to know him later and found out that he was just trying to make a living for his family.
This practice, which bordered on the predatory depending on the individual, has recently been halted by the Egyptian Government.
