This picture of a Lao boy was taken at a tourist cafe in Phonsovan. He and other street kids would hangout near there in an attempt to get some food.
His town has the distinction of being one of the most heavily bombed areas in the world. The locals now think it is quite normal to live their daily lives with thousands of tonnes of unexploded ordinance everywhere around them. He is leaning against an unexploded 750 pound bomb being used as decoration to the entrance of the cafe.
