    I like this one much better too... The thick folliage around the gate without the sky I think does better for this type of image, but you are a photography teacher and it is your picture and your decision in the end.

    Your photo is full of emotion and your choice of treatments depends on how emotional you wanna be. Either way, you make me feel this photo. If a photo can do that, I'm hooked.

    I see you resubmitted this entry and I love how when you cropped off the sky it draws the gate in closer...and also the trumpet vine...Great job and will resubmit my vote!

    If it looks like a fairy gate and it photographs like a fairy... then it MUST be a fairy gate!! I can see the little ones going in an out of this, Bob!! Nice entry!
