The Burj Al Arab
View from Madinat Jumeirah. Unfortunately most of the traditional buildings from the pre-oil era have made way for skyscrapers. So ironically one of the places where you can get a feeling of this kind of architecture is the 5 star resort Madinat Jumeirah. It really is a small city within the city (Madinat could be translated by "city of") with restaurants and bars, a souk, the first theatre that deserves this name, conference rooms and three hotels.
