This may just look like your average light meter—well, it is and it isn’t. My Polaris Digital Flash Meter works as good as all those other light meters: Minolta, Gossen, Sekonic, etc. But the great advantage to this light meter is the price. Instead of shelling out $400+ for a light meter, the Polaris will only set you back $170 new or [even better] try eBay for under $65.
I’ve used this light meter in the studio setting and hitting the city streets with great results. The only downside to this meter is durability. It is made out of a lightweight plastic and is not waterproof.
But if you’re like me and can’t shell out a whole ‘lotta cash for your passion [and you’re in the market for a light meter], this light meter is worth checking out.
