Alberto and Sophia had not seen each other in three months, which was when they got married. Since Sophia had to finish her degree back in Canada and Alberto's papers weren't ready for him to leave Cuba they had to say goodbye after the wedding. In April, I met Sophia at the Havana customs and she offered to give me a ride to the city center. When we got out of the airport he was there with a red rose and some sweets. It was one of the sweetest reunions, they held hands the whole way.
