Self Portrait Reading to our Turkey
The literacy rate among turkeys is alarmingly low. As part of President Bush’s No Turkey Left Behind program, volunteers around the U.S. have been reading to turkeys over the last four years. It is not certain whether the new administration will support this program. Some believe that President Obama will encourage volunteers to read to children instead. Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Note: If you read to your turkey, cover his chair. Turkeys can be quite messy when they get excited.

Looks like it's not paying very good attention. in the NTLB initiative, if your turkey doesn't make significant progress at an unreasonable and statistically arcane rate, you may lose all of your turkey reading funding and they'll give the turkey a voucher to go to another oven somewhere where the turkeys achieve at a faster umeasuralble rate.
See link, below....... -

make sure you read to your turkey only what is on "THE TEST" (www.notonthetest.com)

(Your wife must have an even better sense of humor than you do! "Sure, honey, you want to put a raw turkey on the couch and take picture, what a cute idea, no problem." -- Gotta love a woman who would go that far to support true art!)

From your choice of reading material, I assume you are going for a turkey that tases good rather than a turkey with good taste.
