My submission to "Breaking stereotypes".

I'd never really considered the Japanese stereotype of the slot machine addict - glued to the seat and hooked to a machine into which they deposit their yens in exchange for what? Artificially stimulated thrills?

A recent visit to Tokyo, my first ever, brought home the reality of this.

The game machine arcades are HUGE, some occupying several buildings along the same street, each building several storeys high and all packed - with hundreds and thousands of Japanese men and women... all adults, most addicts.

Thanks everyone for the positive comments here. I actually did not think about uploading this, if not for the Stereotype theme. Glad you all like this :-)
