Such Wonderful Toys
From the right, Nikon N65 SLR, Canon PowerShot S60 & Kodak Duaflex Camera.
Light weight, affordably priced and very easy to use, the Nikon N65 simply is an outstanding film camera. I bought the N65 a few years back and have never looked back. A great camera for beginner to intermediate photographers.
The Canon PowerShot S60 was a great purchase back in 2004. With a bevy of advance options for a digital point-and-shoot camera - a full range of exposure modes including a macro mode, auto focus and a VGA movie mode that captured 30 secs clips - the S60 was a standout 5 megapixel camera. Unfortunately, my S60 has not fared well over time. The image quality has steadily decreased to the point that now almost every photo I take has a purple tinge to it.
And finally, I borrowed the Kodak Duaflex from fellow JPG member Megan Green to experiment with some TtV (Through the Viewfinder) shots. The TtV experimentation is a work in progress, but as soon as I’m done I’ll be sure to upload them to the site.
Oh, by the way, this photo was taken with my Nikon D60. Got to love Nikon.
