This is to all the haters of guys that wear pink.
So what if I wear pink. Do you have something against me just because of a color? I’ve been teased, made fun of, verbally assaulted and threatened because of a color. Let me tell you, you ignorant fuck, that wearing pink is no different than wearing any other color. Sure, pink has its connotations behind it but we live in a world where individuality and creativity can be expresses however you want. Fuck the limitations and boundaries of colors. We live in a colorful world. The only reason why those exist is because of society and what they tag to curtain colors. It starts at a very young age where this line is divided; boys wear blue and girls wear pink. When you actually grow up, colors don’t matter; unless you truly believe what the masculine and famine spoon feed you all your life. Break free from “pink discrimination”. Trust me, if Kanye West decked out in all pink, he would be considered a fashion icon for being different. But if you’re just some average guy that would just want to wear it you get looks. “Back when they thought pink polo's would hurt the Roc”, even Kanye West recognizes what that color would do to a reputation. [Quote from the song Touch the sky]. When I get made fun of or laughed at, I don’t let it get to me, I hold my head high and block out the negativity from people like that. When I do get recognize for being different or creative for my style, I know I can’t be afraid to be who I am as a person. I rock pink and I represent Toronto.
