Redefining.
The model here is a lovely woman called Vic, I met her once when she volunteered for my 'Simplicity' series, which is a series of photographs aimed at celebrating the beauty of all women, not just model types as the media so typically presents us with.
I really enjoyed working with Vic because she was a lovely person and had such a great personality, she also had one of the most impressive collections of tattoos I've ever seen, which is why I have chosen to enter her into the 'Defining beauty' theme, obviously she is a larger, older lady, a mother of several children and a loved wife, but she is also celebrating her body as a work of art, she is laughing in this photo and I think she is truly beautiful, because she loves herself.

Nice shot. Too bad you couldn't sneak in at least one color shot - I'd love to see what the tat looks like.
