Basil, Fawlty?
A shot for a college project. The idea behind this shot was to produce an image which would work on the front cover of a Scottish Sunday newspaper magazine, on the topic of food. I decided to photograph some basil, to consider how food isn't always about the final product of whats on our plate, but it's also about the starting points, and how little things, such as growing some basil on our window ledge, can contribute to a fresher, tastier, more organic, and ultimately more satisfying eating experience than getting something straight from a packet.
In the story Ten Things I Learned.
