Molokini is the small island on the right, and in front could be Kahoolawe. This was taken around Ahihi Bay, and Cape Kina u south of Makena. I got to this place by just driving and got to a somewhat residential road and walked the narrow beach access bet two huge houses, pretty much like the access to the Spitting Cave that I posted before. I could stay here all day except that I had so many places to see still on my 3rd day in Maui. The current is so intense, the splashing of the ocean water against the lava rocks is so manificent, a sight to see and behold.

Maui is certainly an inspiration to photographers, Mayette, and you've captured its gorgeous coast beautifully here! The silhouetted rocks are a great foundation and lead us right to the wave you’ve nicely frozen at its crest. The colors and action [including sand being churned] are very appealing… and the inclusion of the distant islands is quite a “topping”. Kudos!!
