Out of NECESSITY
This is a self portrait taken in front of a mirror. I recently had rotator cuff surgery, and my ONLY option, for quite some time, will be shooting my photos from the hip! So, this category is rather appropriate for me.

There's NO WAY you're a grandmother ... surely ? What's rotator cuff surgery?

Thanks, Hugh! That's the best compliment I could get! (I'm actually 58 - :( ........your rotator cuff is made up of the ligaments and muscles that hold the shoulder together.....very long recovery process....

It truly fits the "Shoot from the hip" theme and also includes the hip. Also makes a great story. Nice color theme and portraiture composition.
