Space shuttle Endeavour lifts away from launch pad 39A at 7:55pm. This was my 3rd and final nighttime shuttle launch I will experience in my lifetime. Makes me sad seeing how this was only the 2nd one I was able to photograph. This will always be a memory in my mind however. Thanks to the crew for such a beautiful launch and good luck.

i think its around 30 miles or so. you can hear it after about 15 secs.
