Days Later, NYC

I moved to NYC from IL within the last week of August, 2001 to attend my freshman year at NYU.
Only three days into the semester, school shut down for a week followng September 11.
I took this picture of a girl putting flowers in the fence in Washington Square Park because she, herself, was decorated with an American flag.
Caught up in the moment, I forgot to advance the film, and shot this double exposure after taking a close up picture of an American flag people had signed
