Surprise! Wave...

I was facing inland when my fiancee began making a sound of anxiety and fear, which I interpreted as "Honey, there's a huge wave coming behind you!" So, I did what any other insane photog would do and ignored the desire to run for cover and instead spun around holding down the shutter button and hoping it was level and in focus. I got a pretty good series out of it of this wave crashing against the rocks and splashing around me. Taken in Santa Cruz, California.
