While sick on Route 66..

a desolate corner near a busy transition highway, no doubt. if youre gonna get sick, this is as good a place as any...sort of has a Kerouacy feel to it. i like the shades of color in the grass, the wind blowing the colors into a soft blur is a nice touch from the wind. (we must thank the wind someday for its help with so many of our photos, huh?) i also like the funny angles the poles get, the rusty chipped paint, the wording on the signs, abandoned for sure long ago. i like photos that tell a story and that invite me to contribute to the story. and sense we will probably never know what really happened to all the people who used to drive around this corner, we'll have to make something up. thanks for stimulating my imagination.
