Tadó - Chocó - Colombia.

When the Andes descendes to the low lands of the Pacific, it generates the most biodiverse rain forest in the world and a rich soil for gold and platinum. An unknow region where we work with afrocolombian communities.

I invite you to vote for our project Green Gold in the World Challenge Competition. www.theworldchallenge.co.uk/html/project08_oroverde.html

This is a project that we, a group of young professionals and community leaders began a decade ago to improve the life of the afrocolombians miners and conserve the megadiversity of the zone. Thanks!!!

Check also the videos I have made for the project:

Oro Verde ®, one of AMICHOCO's programs, has been nominated for the World Challenge Competition. This competition, organized by BBC World News and Newsweek, in association with Shell, aims to reward community projects that show innovation and enterprise at a grass roots level, which are socially, environmentally and commercially successful.

Oro Verde ® is a pilot initiative that differentiates responsibly mined gold and platinum so they can be sold as green and fair metals in specialized market niches; thus improving miners' access to global markets. We invite you to learn more about our program at: www.greengold-oroverde.org

I invite you to watch the video about our program in BBC International, it will be broadcasted from October 18th to 20th. You can also watch a small clip at: www.theworldchallenge.co.uk/html/finalists_08.html

You can also vote at this website!!! Please tell your friends about it!!!
