Pierre, the wings of love
Pierre sits usuallly in front of Notre-Dame Cathedral or the Luxembourg Gardens in Paris. He is 76 years old and comes every day by train from the suburbs (Levallois) to feed and take care of the pigeons. He used to work as a mecanician for a company producing trucks and buses for Renault.
People bring him leftovers of food.
Some of the pigeons have a name and a special complicity with him, they are his wings of love.

Had to come back again. I've raised several birds, including a mourning dove (cousin of the pigeon). The look in their eyes, with the lids closed or partially closed, that's true appreciation. Guess humans do the same thing, eh?
