I wanted to get a photo of the bridge on a foggy day, this day was perfect for what I wanted. The main span of the Bridge is 1,700 feet long, and the total length of the Bridge is around 3,030 feet long. It is the longest steel arch bridge in the Western Hemisphere with a 1,700’ span, and second highest bridge in the United States at 876 feet. If you get the chance you should go there for the famed bridge day usually around the 3rd weekend in October and watch hundreds of BASE jumpers and enjoy the only day out of the year where pedestrian traffic is legal. Before this bridge was built it took 45 minutes through winding roads to get accross this gorge.

I've been lucky enough to raft under this bridge many times. Great photo of this beautiful part of the country.
