My Grandma Betsy was a contortionist along with her two sisters they were pretty big in the 1940's you can find a video of there footage on youtube just type in "Solid Potato Salad" which is the title of the song they preform along with their contortionist act, It's a four minutes well spent. The fur jacket and the clippings on the wall are all I have left of hers.
