San Diego, California, March 2007. This place is about a 20-minute drive from the border, and it's part of an area that looks very Mexican to my gringo eyes. The taco shop and its surroundings reflect the increasing Latino influence in the United States. That diversity is a change for the better, and God knows we could use more of those.
