'Why do we have to fight all the time?'

48th Street and 10th Avenue, Hell's Kitchen, New York; October 2007

The conversation went like this:

He: "Why do we have to fight all the time?"

She: " 'Cause I'm always catchin' you in bullshit! You gonna make me go down the list?"

Me (in my head as I walked away): "Buddy, you do *not* want her going down that list."

As I walked past this scene of domestic intranquility, there was no way I could stop and shoot a photo the usual way. I was much too conspicuous.

So I trusted to an educated guess. After I got a couple of feet past them, I held my camera at my thigh, pointed it backward, stopped walking for about a half-second, and pushed the button.

This, cropped from a vertical, is the result.

I love the story that goes with this picture. You can see the expression in their faces. Great shot.
