As my son (Keith...fellow JPG'er and hunting partner) and I were up hunting Elk, we sat on the edge of a mountain side mesmerized by what we were seeing and hearing. The sun was just appearing over the horizon to the sounds of Bull Elk bugling at one another. With our bows down and cameras in hand, we began to capture images worth more to us than the elk we were hunting.

I knew you'd come up with some 'reason' why you didn't get an elk this year. ;-) Absolutely wonderful photo, I love the pink sky in the morning fog...the photo is a keeper, and a favorite here. But does photo taste the same as elk?
