The Alleyway of Charles Town
Charleston, SC
One of the many alleyways in Charleston. Many roads in downtown are still made out of cobblestone. The pavement used back in earlier centuries by the settlers. It offers a bumpy ride but an absolutely beautiful feeling to the city.

Great shot--walked down this street in September. Apparently, the stones used for the streets were taken from the ships, where they were used for ballast.
