Impermanence
After working for a week to painstakingly create a sacred Tibetan mandala from billions of grains of colored sand, Buddhist monks sweep it all away in a closing ceremony to illustrate Buddhism's teachings about the impermanence of life. Photo taken in Grass Valley, CA.

i have seen this ceremony before, several years ago in berkeley. i was able to get some pictures, but they were all poorly exposed. anyway, this is great!
