St. Francis of Assisi Church

This church is located on 135 West 31street in New York City, dates back since 1844. This church was originally founded by the German friars who came from Germany. Fr. Mychal Judge, the priest who died during the 9-11 World Trade Center terrorist attacks belonged to this order. This was Thomas Merton's favorite place to pray before he became a monk. And this is also one of my favorite places to pray.
