ah the pub. a model for australian society. but, the pub culture is a bit a different over here. sometimes it aint all about getting hammered. theres the monday/tuesday arvo catch ups. to laugh about the weekend. a quick schooey or two before you go home, with your mates, while its quiet, and no ones around. another thing is that, they always have good grub. pub meals in australia are an icon. cheap, nasty and bloody huge. there's the beer garden. where mum and dad can bring the toddlers down for a feed, hang out with their toddle totting friends and not worry about some old boozehound, waxing profanities and scaring the crap outta junior. and the TAB. where old mate can come down for a quick punt on the dish-lickers (geyhounds) before he gets home to his smorgasbord of mushy food his old love as prepared. ah, the pub, a model for australian society.
trev, with a quick schooey at the scarby. somewhere on the south coast of australia.

there is a smiliar building in Austin, Texas... but a resturant. I love the feel of these old warehouse looking buildings. really hard to give such a huge, square unadorned building a beautiful portrait, but you and the holga did it (or maybe its cause Trev is in the picture)!!! this one has a real nostalgic feel to it as well. love it!
