Above My Great Grandmother's Bed

After my great grandfather was killed by a german bayonet during World War I, my great grandmother became a religious zealot, spending all her life in church and surrounded in his house by religious knick-knack. I was fascinated during my boyhood by this virgin Mary with a stabbed heart.
Her bedroom remains as it was when she was alive and is now a guest bedroom for friends

there is much i like about this. the overall rose tones are wonderful and i like that the painting is askew a bit to add interest... and that wallpaper, it adds so much of the person whose wall this is... i get this picture of her in this home she's been in for most of her life... this is beautiful.
