This was taken at Dallas Heritage Park (formerly known as Old City Park) on the edge of downtown Dallas. DHP had an old fashioned Fourth of July celebration filled with activites from several different time periods. I have previously submitted photos of Civil War reenactors. These are a few of their wives who also get in on the fun of participating in living history. They were perched on old-fashioned camp stools embroidering or hand-sewing items. They also ensure the historical accuracy of the style of dress and the activities of that time period. I have seen them make lace at other events.
