I came across this man when I was walking in the snowy park near Laleh hotel in Tehran.

By hand signals, I asked his permission to take his picture. He refused but eventually agreed.

I have no story about him --we barely could communicate a lot. But his wrinkled face, deep brown eyes must have seen many things in the modern history of Iran --something I wish I could know as it might have been different from the official history version.
