In Rishikesh, India, on the bank of River Ganges, worshiping the river goddess is a daily ritual. People from the town, hoards of tourists and ascetics from nearby monastery join the prayers that last for an hour. But it is the children from the monastery who steal the show. You can see them in every possible mood varying from those who are deeply engrossed in prayers to ones who are fighting with their neighbors.
I spent a few days photographing the kids and was drawn to the this child who was in a meditative mood as he sung his prayers.
