The Muse
The idea for this photo originally came to me in the summer of 2005. I did a shoot with another model with this idea in mind but I found I wasn't too content with the results. By the next summer, I had read Elizabeth Rosner's Blue Nude and became inspired again and came up with the sketch shown above. Blue Nude is an incredible book and Elizabeth Rosner is a great writer, but this photo isn't an interpretation of the writings from the book. The book only renewed my inspiration for this photo.
