Steve Irwin is a traveling pastor I met at the Sturgis motorcycle rally in South Dakota in August 2008. Each year, he sets up a tent and holds worship services for bikers who have come to party and ride the Black Hills, but, more importantly, who also are committed to keeping Jesus in their lives. Irwin has been holding church services at Sturgis every year since 1992. He said he found Jesus in 1987 when he woke up one day "tired of hating everybody." Irwin’s church in North Carolina caters to people from all backgrounds and walks of life, but Irwin said most in his congregation are bikers.
