i photographed a six year old boy, battling neuroblastoma, once a week, for six months.
last sunday, aug 31st, 2008, max passed away, at age seven.
this photo was my last photo taken for the celebration of his life (his funeral). this was a tree at his school, where they put an orange ribbon around every tree and fence post surrounding the school. if you look, you'll see an angel in the flare.
i truly believe that while max wasn't there with me in physical being, he was there in spirit.
just believe...
in something.
