Nuclear Power Plant

Taken right outside of Dekalb, IL.... I was on my way home of shooting with a group of friends when we came upon The Nuclear Power Plant. It was freezing out and I decided I needed to make the image. I set my camera up put the camera focus on infinity and stopped the aperture do all the way. Bracketed a probably 5 exposures.....This image is probably a 3-5 min exposure.

I love the mood of this, kind of scary and welcoming at the same time. The colors are great.

Nice shot & interpretation on the theme . . .these are mammoth! Is the human impact the byproduct we are left with from nuclear energy, or is the human impact our consumption levels which drive us to something such as what we see in your photo?

arg something is missing here, I can't put my finger on it but this image feel ALMOST right. Maybe its the foreground. Just a little more than necessary. I don't know. But I do like it. Got my vote.

It's not bad. However, it's crooked and slightly out of position for my liking. If that tower is leaning like it looks like in the photo, then someone's in a lot of trouble. And Larson is right about the foreground.
